Dr. Dimitrios K. Ntaikos received his B.Sc. degree in Telecommunications from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), Xanthi, in 2003. In 2004 he received his M.Sc. degree from the College of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Boston University (BU), MA, USA. Since 2014 he holds a Ph.D. diploma in Telecommunications (specialized in antennas) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Since 2015 he is a Senior Research Scientist at the B-WiSE Lab of AIT with special interest in future adaptive antenna technologies. He is leading the antenna design team, looking after the full process cycle of designing, simulating, manufacturing and testing. His designs adhere to various performance requirements and operate across different frequency bands (S, C, X, Ku, K, Ka,V bands). Prototypes have been used in over-the-air demos during EuCNC 2015 (Paris), DySPAN 2015 (Stockholm) and EuCNC 2016 (Athens) conferences, gaining recognition and awards (Best Booth Award in EuCNC 2016). Dr. Ntaikos has worked on various externally-funded European projects (FP6, FP7, Horizon2020), as well as industry-funded research projects over the past decade. He is a Full Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
