AIT hosted the 1st CTIF GLOBAL CAPSULE (CGC ) – SOUTH EAST EUROPE ( SEE ) WORKSHOP, in September 24-25, 2018. The Workshop took place at the American College of Greece.

CGC is an international network of universities and other research and academic institutions CGC is a non-profit association with presence in eleven countries. During the meeting CGC’s Division in South Eastern Europe was inaugurated.

The primary mission of CGC is to facilitate global research, industry development and educational activities. CGC supports businesses, strengthens their business model, business model innovation, and technologies through business collaboration and cross- / inter-disciplinary research.

The first day of the workshop was about Collaboration. Views were exchanged about how collaboration within CGC-SEE will be dynamic, engaging and results oriented. A special session was devoted to setting up collaborative research proposals. The second day was devoted to the presentation of participating teams’ research achievements. Presentations covered very interesting and scientifically trending topics, including advances on wireless communications, IoT, Big Data, AI, multimodal signal processing and business model innovation.  The main theme was “Next Generation Communications for Innovative and Inclusive Societies”.

Workshop participants were university professors and scientists from Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, FYROM, Montenegro, Greece, Denmark, UK, USA and India.
