The Summer School is a unique international program lead by preeminent academics at the ancient sanctuary of Olympia and Athens, aiming to broaden the perspective of post-graduate science students through philosophy of science, ethics, history, and business and communication skills.

The Summer School provides post-graduate science students throughout the world a unique opportunity for multi-disciplinary exploration and cultural enrichment through intense sessions with top industry leaders, decision makers and academics such as Luis Bucciarelli (MIT), Theodosis Tassios (National Technical University of Athens), David Goldberg (University of Illinois, Urbana Champagne) among others.

AIT’s Summer School combines world-class academics with cultural and social activities designed to expose participants to fascinating aspects of Ancient and Modern Greek culture. Participants will live, learn and challenge themselves at Athens and ancient Olympia, two unique places where at one time philosophy, science and engineering did not have distinct borders.

This year the program will focus on two emerging multi-disciplinary fields:

Smart Management of the Human Environment - where information and communication technologies meet Civil Engineering, and
Social Networking - where sociology meets information and communication technologies
Starting in 2012, the Summer School will feature a sailing module in the Aegean Sea.

6ο Θερινό Σχολείο  ‘Συνάντησε το μέλλον σου’

Για έκτη συνεχή χρονιά το ΑΙΤ διοργανώνει το θερινό σχολείο με τίτλο Meet Your Future, ένα πρωτοποριακό πρόγραμμα που απευθύνεται σε μαθητές Λυκείου. Το θερινό αυτό πρόγραμμα προσφέρει στους μαθητές μοναδικές ευκαιρίες τόσο για να γνωρίσουν τεχνολογίες αιχμής στους τομείς της πληροφορικής και των τηλεπικοινωνιών, όσο και για να λύσουν απορίες σε σχέση με σπουδές, επαγγέλματα και καριέρες που άπτονται των νέων τεχνολογιών. Σε θεματικό επίπεδο θα περιλάβει παρουσιάσεις πάνω σε επίκαιρα τεχνολογικά αντικείμενα με έμφαση στη βιοπληροφορική, στην εξέλιξη των ηλεκτρονικών παιχνιδιών, στο διαδίκτυο των αισθητήρων και των πραγμάτων, στις «πράσινες» τεχνολογίες πληροφορικής, αλλά και στην επόμενη γενιά των διαδικτυακών εφαρμογών.
