IFIP AIAI 2006 - the 3rd Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations conference (AIAI) 2006
June 7-9, 2006, in Athens, Greece

The Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations conference is organized annually by WG12.5 “Artificial Intelligence Applications” of IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing) and its purpose is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in the technical advances and business and industrial applications of intelligent systems, focusing on providing insights on how AI can be implemented in real world applications.

This year’s AIAI is co-organized by the University of Aegean, Department of Information and Communications Systems Engineering, and Athens Information Technology (AIT), Autonomic & Grid Computing Group. The conference attracted paper submissions from 23 countries, which underwent a thorough reviewing process; 87 of these were accepted as full papers. AIAI 2006 proceedings were published by Springer in its main IFIP series (ISBN: 0387342230).

We would like to express our gratitude to the members of the AIAI 2006 Program Committee for their cooperation and assistance and support, and to the sponsors of the conference for their financial support.
