Being our Friend...

Friends of AIT comprises an 11-member Committee, the members of which are approved by AIT’s Board of Directors. The Committee, among its 11 members, has a President, Vice President, and Secretary. It maintains a member list which is unlimited. Registration of members to “Friends of AIT” requires the approval of the Friends of AIT Committee and may be done following an invitation by two existing members of Friends of AIT.

The Friends of AIT Committee determines new membership requirements and its annual membership fee, which may be allocated, according to its discretion, either to the Scholarship, Awards, and Financial Aid Fund or to meet other needs of AIT. Under the decision of the Ministry of Finance POL 1030/12.02.2008, each donation to AIT is tax-deductible.

Athens Information Technology, recognizing the contribution of the members of Friends of AIT, is pleased to reciprocate by offering the following services:

  • Our library

Our library makes available all its services, an important part of which is its electronic access to seven of the largest libraries, such as Harvard and Carnegie Mellon,

  • Our professors, mentors of new students from their first steps

Our professors are available to the children of Friends of AIT who are interested in specific science disciplines, for their professional orientation, and guidance to the best universities abroad.
The staff at the Kokkalis Program at Harvard University is available to students interested in theoretical science to guide them professionally and on possibilities offered by the top universities in Boston.
Tour students through AIT’s state-of-the-art laboratories and share inform them of the innovative research taking place.

  • Summer Schools

Children of Friends of AIT are assured a place in AIT’s annual Summer Schools.

  • Lifelong Learning

Members are assured places, with a discounted registration, to all AIT executive training programs.

  • Our graduates

For Friends of AIT who maintain businesses or are executives in companies, AIT organizes annual Career Days so that they have first choice of our talented graduates.

  • Invitations to outstanding events

Members receive invitations to events and programs with renowned presenters and distinguished speakers organized by the Kokkalis Program of Harvard in collaboration with AIT.

  • Facilities for your events

AIT’s facilities are available for use by Friends of AIT, or to non-profit organizations to which they belong, at a reduced cost.

  • Friends of AIT is one big family

AIT brings members together by organizing events to facilitate the expansion of their professional network.
