| Applicant profile |
The MSITT is an internationally competitive graduate program focusing on the needs of the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) market. It addresses students from diverse backgrounds in science, mathematics and technology and provides the required training and qualification to excel in the job market.
The MSITT follows two directions of study: Telecommunications and/or Information Technology.
Taking an interdisciplinary approach to Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Telecommunications, the program provides a link to the industry through hands-on training in AIT’s state-of-the-art laboratories.
To Enter the program candidates must hold a first or second-class degree in:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Computer Science/Informatics
- Electrical/Computer Engineering
- Electronics
- Graduates of Technical Universities
- Graduates of Technological Education Institutes

| Admission Requirements |
The selection process is based on an overall analysis of various factors. Skills, talents and formal pre-requisites: enthusiasm, ability to listen, concentration and involvement, responsibility, motivation to grow as a manager and a person. You must also score well on the formal admissions requirements.
a) Application form: The application form is available online and from AIT Admissions office. It must be completed in English.
b) Degree certificate and transcripts: You are required to submit an official or certified degree certificate (in English or in Greek) from the college or university attended, along with the official or certified transcript of grades. The type of degree, the date of graduation, and dates of enrollment, must be clearly stated in these documents.
c) A detailed CV and Statement of Purpose must accompany your application. The Statement of Purpose must be about 500 words. It should be concise, focused, well-written, and should describe succinctly your reasons for applying to AIT, research interest, future career plans, and other aspects of your background and interests which may aid the Admissions Committee in evaluating your aptitude and motivation for graduate study.
d) 2 recommendation letters in English (signed and sealed): These letters must be from people who know you well enough professionally and/or academically to provide a detailed evaluation of your professional and academic performance and provide a detailed evaluation of your qualifications for the MSITT program. e) English language requirements: to be considered for admission, scores must be submitted from FCE, CAE, CPE, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Exceptions may be made for applicants who hold a degree from a university located in a country in which English is the official language and also the language of instruction at the university. The minimum scores for admission consideration are:
IELTS (Academic): A score of 5.5 up to 9
TOEFL:Institution code: 7038. 80 on Internet –based/ 230 on Computer-based/460 on Paper-based

Note: Those who submit only a copy of FCE as a proof of competency in English will be asked for interview by the Admissions Committee of AIT.
f) Interview: After an initial review of your application, a select number of candidates will be invited for an admissions interview by the Admissions Committee of AIT.
g) The application must be accompanied by 1 passport-size digital photo.

| Application Procedure |
To be considered for acceptance for the 2010-2011 academic year, applicants should submit all the above documents (in English) by September 07, 2012. For non-EU students requiring visa/permit of residence the deadline is July 06, 2012. Early registration is strongly advised.
Admission Results: Candidates will receive a formal letter from the Admissions Office as soon as the selection process is complete. Please note that only fully complete applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
There are three possible outcomes.
- Successful: You are being offered a place and will receive an official acceptance letter from the Admissions Office
- Waiting list: If your application meets the minimum criteria for acceptance but the program is full, the Admissions Office may inform you that your name has been included on the admissions waiting list.
- Unsuccessful: if your application is unsuccessful you will receive an official letter from the Admissions Office informing you of the decision.
Note:if all the required documentation is not received by the Applications deadline, the applicant's file will not be evaluated.

The program begins in mid-September of each academic year.
- Fall Semester: mid-September to mid-December
- Spring Semester: mid-January to mid-May
- Summer Semester: mid-May to mid-July
Full-time duration is 12 months. Part-time duration is 24 months.

AIT's 1st Gaming Forum was a two day celebration of Gaming that brought together the Greek gaming industry with academics and gaming enthusiasts of all ages.
